A Meaningful and Welcoming Yom Kippur
Yom Kippur is the holiest day of the Jewish year: a time to pause, reflect, reconnect, and begin again. At Chabad of Carefree, the traditional prayers and melodies are accompanied by English readings, explanations, stories, and meaningful insights.
Whether you attend services every year or this will be your first time in many years, you will feel comfortable and welcome. No membership, tickets, previous experience, or Hebrew knowledge is required.
What to Expect
Come for the complete service or join us for the portions that work for you.
Everyone Is Welcome
Chabad welcomes every Jew, regardless of background, affiliation, knowledge, or level of observance.
Hebrew & English
Hebrew-English prayer books will be provided, together with explanations and guidance throughout the services.
Come for What Works
You are welcome to attend the full service or arrive for Kol Nidrei, Yizkor, Neilah, or another portion of the day.
What to Wear
There is no formal dress code. Many people wear respectful holiday clothing, avoid leather footwear, and traditionally wear white.
Yizkor
The Yizkor memorial service will take place at approximately 12:00 PM during the morning service.
Community Break-Fast
Following Neilah and the final shofar blowing, everyone is invited to join us for a light break-fast.
